Sound Script — Privacy Policy

Sound Script is a PDF annotation tool for theatre sound designers and operators, built by Theatre Mixing School. Your privacy matters to us, and this policy explains how the app handles your data.

What data Sound Script stores

Sound Script stores your annotations, tool settings, and preferences. This data is saved either locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account, depending on whether you enable iCloud Sync in the app's settings.

iCloud Sync

When iCloud Sync is enabled, your annotation data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's iCloud infrastructure. This data is only accessible to you and any devices signed into your Apple ID. Apple handles the encryption and storage of this data in accordance with their own privacy policy. Sound Script does not operate any servers or cloud services of its own.

What Sound Script does not do

Sound Script does not collect personal information. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no registration. The app does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising. It does not make network requests other than iCloud sync when you have it enabled. It does not share any data with third parties.

MIDI input

Sound Script can receive MIDI input from connected hardware (foot pedals, controllers) for page turning. This is processed locally on your device and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted.
